Spring in the Northwest is inconsistent. Life change can be like that. When we think we have it figured out, WAM-POW-ZAP (put your other Batman sound effects here) the universe has other ideas.
We were excited to see fresh growth on the magnolia tree and the crocus heads pushing above the soil. The flower bed is teaming with tenacious calla lilies. We welcomed spring and then snow covered them all. Being a writer, I see symbolism in everyday things. The plants didn’t dive back into the ground when greeted by the cold. They will slow for a while, wait it out for the melt and then get on with being flowers.
Much like my writing and publishing of late. I brush off the late season snow and keep moving forward knowing the spring and summer will come. (Metaphor or simile?) I stick my head out of the ground, learning about tools I need to get my books into the hands of readers. I am learning about mailing lists, book promotion opportunities and advertising. Not as much fun as writing, but needed if Frankie and her friends will be enjoyed by others.
The first book in the series is now free on Amazon. I hope this will be an introduction and incentive for readers to join Frankie’s adventures. You can help by writing reviews on Amazon and spreading the word about the Metaphysical Mystery Series.
Looking forward to spring and the adventures that lay ahead in the new year. Thank you for your support and may your breezes be warm and there be sunshine on your path.
